C.J. Watson
Head Coach
Coach Watson is entering his 11th year as the Cardinal skipper. He leads Lincoln’s offense and works closely with the infield, emphasizing fundamentals, baseball IQ, and team-first play.
Under his leadership, Lincoln has posted a 137–77 record, capturing five Portland Interscholastic League (PIL) Championships (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2023). His teams are known for their preparation, competitiveness, and commitment to playing the game the right way.
Watson has been honored as PIL Coach of the Year five times in his first nine seasons at Lincoln (2015, 2016, 2018, 2022, 2023).
He serves as the PIL representative for All-State meetings, is an active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association, and presented at the NWBCA Coaches Convention in 2021.
Beyond the field, Watson is the PE Department Chair at Lincoln High School, where he teaches Strength & Conditioning and Physical Education, helping student-athletes build habits that serve them in sports and life.
Mike Blake

Coach Blake is entering his 12th season leading the Cardinal pitching staff and bringing a wealth of experience as both a former professional player and dedicated youth developer.
After a standout playing career at the University of Hawaii, Blake was drafted in the 16th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks and pitched in the Diamondbacks’ Minor League system from 2011–2014, giving him firsthand experience with elite competition and advanced pitching development.
At Lincoln, he has been a cornerstone of the staff, helping shape some of the program’s most effective arms while also contributing to overall team culture and performance. Blake was recognized as the 2023 Lincoln High School Assistant Coach of the Year for his impact on the Cardinals’ success.
He is an active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association and brings a deep knowledge of the game, blending professional experience with a passion for teaching.
Outside of baseball, Coach Blake serves students as a Health and Physical Education teacher at West Sylvan Middle School, where he builds confidence, fitness, and leadership in young people.

Cardinal Amateur Baseball Group
Our Baseball program is funded through a 503(c) non-profit organization. This team of coaches and parents helps raise money to support our baseball program. This group of people helps fund the program for fields, additional coaches, apparel, equipment, and more.
